Old Club members keep the 200+ year old tradition alive with the annual Whit Monday march and feast, this year to be held on Friday 3rd June 2022, South Harting, West Sussex.

Whit Monday tradition dictates that the members find beech boughs with which to festoon the village, enough to drape around the church steps and to construct a ‘tree’ in the square. Each member also finds a stick to whittle into a quarterstaff used to beat the village boundaries – thought to bring a good harvest and good/healthy children…
